Four weeks from diagnosis to action

1

Diagnostic call

A 30-minute video call where you tell us what keeps you up at night. We ask pointed questions about revenue, margins, team capacity and cash flow. You leave with a clear picture of whether we can help.

2

Data deep-dive

We spend a week inside your accounts, CRM and operational workflows. We interview two or three key staff members. The goal: find the three biggest levers that move your profit.

3

Priority plan

You receive a short, specific document: what to change, in what order, with expected impact in pounds. No jargon, no filler. Each recommendation includes a named owner and a deadline.

4

Hands-on support

We stay for 90 days. Weekly check-ins, real-time troubleshooting, and adjustments when reality doesn't match the spreadsheet. You pay for outcomes, not hours.

What we do for owner-managed businesses

Most of our clients run companies between £500K and £10M in revenue. They have real customers, real staff and real problems that generic advice won't solve.

Financial diagnostics

We reconstruct your unit economics from raw data. Where is cash actually going? Which product lines earn their keep? You get a one-page margin map that makes pricing decisions obvious.

Team structure and hiring

Overstaffed in one department, understaffed in another. We map each role to its revenue contribution and recommend changes. Typical result: 12–18% payroll savings without redundancies, through redeployment and smarter sequencing of new hires.

Operational process redesign

We watch how orders flow from enquiry to delivery, time each step and remove the ones that add cost without adding value. One distribution client cut fulfilment time from 4.5 days to 1.8 after a single engagement.

Growth strategy

Should you expand geographically, add a service line, or acquire a competitor? We model each option against your current balance sheet and management bandwidth, then rank them by risk-adjusted return.

Pricing and revenue optimisation

Many Scottish businesses undercharge by 15–25% simply because they haven't reviewed pricing in years. We run competitor benchmarking, customer willingness-to-pay interviews and margin analysis to set prices that stick.

Exit and succession planning

Thinking about selling in the next two to five years? We identify what a buyer would flag, fix the valuation detractors and prepare a clean data room. Two of our clients sold at multiples above their sector median in 2024.

Questions we hear often

A diagnostic engagement starts at £3,500 for the initial four-week phase. The 90-day implementation support is priced separately, typically between £6,000 and £12,000 depending on scope. We quote a fixed fee before any work begins, so there are no surprise invoices.
Occasionally. Most of our clients are based in Scotland because we prefer face-to-face site visits during the data deep-dive phase. If you are elsewhere in the UK and happy with a hybrid approach, get in touch and we can discuss it.
We have deep experience in professional services, food and drink manufacturing, construction trades and e-commerce fulfilment. That said, the diagnostic framework applies to any owner-managed business with at least five employees and recurring revenue.
No. We work alongside your existing advisors. Your accountant handles compliance and tax; we focus on commercial decisions. In fact, we often collaborate directly with your finance team to make sure recommendations are grounded in real numbers rather than assumptions.
Every priority plan includes measurable targets with deadlines. If we miss a target during the 90-day support phase, we extend our involvement at no extra cost until the target is met or we mutually agree to change course. We have used this clause three times in five years.
We take on two new clients per month to maintain quality. Current lead time is roughly two to three weeks from the diagnostic call to the start of the data deep-dive. If your situation is urgent, let us know and we will see what we can do.
